Photos and videos
Strategic Communication as a major focuses on being prepared to handle difficult situations regarding the media or public image as well as the overall financial growth of organizations. I believe part of that growth includes marketing, and understanding how to present a product or company, and I believe a basic understanding of a camera can contribute greatly to the marketing of an organization.
Here I have a compilation of photos and videos that I’ve taken either for class or for leisure. The videos do actually focus on marketing, but it mostly shows my understanding of video making software. And while the pictures don’t promote anything business related, it shows my understanding of rule of thirds, lighting, and point of view.
Marketing video 1
The purpose of this video was to raise awareness for a student organization. This video was shot in the style of a commercial only being 30 seconds long and uses loyalty free music. It features some of the members of Students for Violence Prevention as well as the products that they offer to students on campus.
Marketing video 2
My assignment for this video was less about marketing as much as it was about honoring someone in my life. We were given a prompt to honor someone in our family for their achievements, and even though it doesn’t promote a product or an organization, it still displays what I’m able to do when it comes to video editing.
